According to a Las Vegas Sun online report, Wayne Newton signaled for the orchestra to stop playing Friday Night and told the audience, "When you're a public figure, people can write whatever they want to write about you, whether it's true or not. The way the laws are written, because you're a public figure, there's not much you can do about it (pause) except maybe punch them out."

Hash House A GoGo Corned Beef Eating Contest-Today!

Hash House A Go Go and country station KWNR will host a corned beef eating contest in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Contestants can enter the contest at www.kwnr.com or in person at the Hash House A Go Go Sahara location. Hash made with corned beef, swiss chees, red onions, and bell peppers

Up to eight participants will vie to be the first to finish 1.5 pounds of cooked corned beef and a quarter head of cabbage. The grand prize is $100 cash and breakfast once a week at Hash House A Go Go for a year. Second place will receive a $75 Hash House A Go Go gift certificate and a Certified Angus Beef gift box; third place will receive a $50 Hash House A Go Go gift certificate and a Certified Angus Beef gift box. Jon Voight & Jennifer O'Neill to host the 50-year tribute concert to Michel LeGrand at MGM on March 27. There will be a 66-piece orchestra. Performers include George Benson Melissa Manchester Jerry Lewis Dionne Warwick Andy Williams Patti Page Frank Sinatra Jr & Steve Lawrence. Three-time Oscar and five-time GRAMMY Award-winner Michel Legrand will perform at the tribute to his 50 years of music and movies at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Nevada SPCA Pet Of The Week- Sparky Sparkles

the fact of the matter is that this cute old boy can sometimes be grumpy, particularly with strangers or if accidentally awakened from a nice sleep.

So, Sparky Sparkles is a sometimes cheerful, sometimes grumpy fellow who needs a hero to love him for all his good, and in spite of his faults.

He is a medium-size Terrier mix with a heart-melting smile. He is neutered and about 10 years of age.

Sparky Sparkles is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with some dogs (though he is picky).

To err on the safe side for dog bite prevention, he requires a very experienced home and strictly no access whatsoever to children.
